Discovery identity through brave connection

Here is an extension on the 'interpersonal effectiveness' idea, namely, that connecting with each other leads to an increase in skill, that overall, saves energy as we get better at it. See in the beginning we make a lot of effort connecting with others, the world or ourselves. We may even feel like different people depending on where we are. If you look at the mountain, there are choice points, where we can move to separation (down hill) or integration (uphill). An example, is someone who gives up of themselves to work tirelessly, who eventually has to take time out or is unable to work as they need to focus on self care. What im trying to advocate here with this image is balance between ALL THREE. What we want from the world and who we are. (Happiness) Our needs and other's needs (Support) And our goals and other peoples' needs (Trust). What is lost when these three is not integrated, is time. If we have a long time between visits, our information is not updated, meaning we sometimes tune in to goals or needs that are outdated. In a way, if we are all timely, and connect with each, other, we can create an up to date social map that helps us actively lead society so we are abundant. In a way, balance in the skills are where we want to be. Narrative explanation: We start with our bike and our bottles of water, we connect with others, away from ourselves, and realise we are missing something bigger, something to do, so we go to that. Then we realise we need more water, so go back to the start to refill. No balance is gained. Without integration, even if we sought balance, since all three are needs (Connection, identity and goals), we stick to the above cycle. The first step is, then to begin integrating who we are, what we do and who others are. This is by connecting communities. The view here is better, we can see our place in the world more, and our conversations are richer, as we help others map from this more integrated (and more natural) view. Finally, at the top, total integration, we learn the ability to connect across differences, where we are ourselves, and seamlessly allow space for other goals, other views as we learn to trust in the complex ecosystem that is humanity. At this level, we are at the fountain everyone is looking for outside, its not on the horizon, its within, and we can improve our society's map accordingly. Constant working on the skills ensures our information remains up to date in an ever changing world.
