I totally agree with you. However, its essential for people to have their own independence regardless of how genuine the relationships because we live in a society whereby everything is commodify and exception are hight.

This is why I firmly believe in transparent communication in relationships, as sometimes we hold these exceptions of others but never express it to our spouse or friends, which could lead to damaging relationships. Moreover, if people know they have formed their self-identity, they will understand that not all individuals are the same and sometimes their expectations will not come from media but rather from within.

Power imbalance is a major issue within relationships. Although we speak of being fair and equal within within relationships it never how it is and sometimes it takes a long time for people to realise that power is not still water but rather its a fluid force that comes and go and no individual can hold on to power forever.

I totally agree with the media having a major impact on negative body image by forming the social construct of all size fits all which leads to self hatred and other underlying health issues. People within society and media platforms tend to forget the human body is constantly changing.

Within today society people are judge and critize regardless of what they do. For example a person who have confidence in themselves, care and love themselves will be precived as someone whos up themselves. Moreover, in some cultures children are not taught to have self-compassion for themselves and they are not taught to regonise the strengths and celebrate their wins. So those children grow up with that fear of how will people view me if I love myself and this is a cycle which generations have experience.

It is essential also to understand that within our current time, parents place so much pressure on their children for primary school for instance if a child excels in a specific subject even though they are not interested in the activity of subject that child's parents will form high expectations of that child even the comments of " I will be so proud of you once you if you become a surgeon or a doctor" places a high level of pressure on the child and could cause developmental issues for the child. Moreover, they grow up striving for success for others instead of themselves.

Today within contemporary society, it is easy to develop an obsession with a lack of connection because keeping within your own space means people provide you with that sense of safety and security whereby people are not looking down on you nor criticising your life choices. Nevertheless, as you have stated above, there are so many negative factors to having a lack of connection, especially since the development of media platforms. I remember growing up when a child would cry in public, mothers or fathers would play with their child or sing to them, whereas, within today's world, parents forget to communicate with their children and place technology in their hands as a soothing method to calm them before people within community stairs at them.

I totally agree with you as sometime people are not aware that they are living with low self-esteem so they tend to avoid the affect its having on their health. Moreover, low self-esteem is complex it places that fear in people to seek help as they could hold the assumption they might be judge or critise bacuse in their mind it has become a flaw and our flaws is not something we as human wants to share as people within society could also view it as a weekness to hurt us futher.

All these issuse arising from and within social media are a big risk factor to younger generations mental health and a major influence on their world views.
