I designed this to explain to social work students the relevance of soapbox to their clinical work. I also created this because I want to explain why treatment of individuals is simply not enough, and services will never be enough.
Its about how, to make a real difference to people in our society, society itself needs to shift away from a 'break-fix' model, where someone only comes in once they are mentally ill, and towards a preventative model, where the person does not fall ill to begin with.
(Note from the future: What I'm getting at here is that we, as a society are lacking the support structures necessary for us to function, because we are so divided, even within ourselves)
