Creative Emergence as a Cultural Mover

Here is the most succint step by step process of engaging in soapbox, at a practical level (Connect with individuals, Connect with teams or purpose, Create) on the left, with its more profound meaning to the right. Here soapbox is prevented as a good social habit, that occasionally bursts into action when needed. All of this is supported from below by a library of guides and experiences, and supported from above by an 'amplification channel' which aggregates action, awareness and resources into larger cultural movers.

There are three conceptual distinctions not present in earlier graphics:

The jungle:

The section where teams connect, is also in the complex, unstructured 'soup' of humanity, closer to our nature. Through experiencing this jungle of networked relationships, of all kinds, do we understand how to structure our society. We also understand that our need for complexity and our need for safety exist in a balance. Soapbox presents a path to the jungle and a path away from it.

For the individual who is not willing or able to work within a team, the jungle is a safe place for them to find expression, that may inspire the teams who pass through the jungle on the way to amplification.

Mic 1 & 2

We have also worked out that soapbox needs to be more varied than just the face of the the jungle. Like a deep space station picking up lonely souls (See powerpoint attached), it needs to be more structured to function in the harsher environment, so therefore, mic 1 is more culturally congruent, safer and more polished, it can be perceived (and udnerstood) by the new observer, but leads inevitably to mic 2, the riskier place inviting true creation, not duplication or consumption. This can be likened to web 1 (Bulletin boards), web 2 (Consumers create content) on the way to web 3 (Consumers are creators are owners of their network)

Connection to action

Previously, I had considered the connection activities as the 'shallow end of the pool', leading easily into the deeper, however thanks to some special people in my life, and a lot of patience on their part, I came to understand that the bravery of connection with others is a reflection of the bravery of connecting with the world via action.

Seeing them as the same, and not as entry level, but good continuous social habit and vocal tradition, is what gave permission for the jungle concept to be distinguished from action/connection, as well as mic 1 and 2, as the faces of each, respectively.
