About the event

Storytelling through expressive writing

“Writing is the painting of the voice!”

Expressive writing allows us to tell stories, a tool that can foster social connections. People can share their thoughts and feelings that may pave the way for healing, inspire while learning from others’ experiences, and help them make sense of the world. The event will be guided where participants can participate in the expressive writing, share stories, and experiences with others (optional). Did we mention that refreshments will also be served?

Aim of the event

In this world, we sometimes find ourselves struggling with stress with what life throws at us. We may have difficulties with maintaining regular routines, and other obstacles. We may forget to allow time for ourselves, to hit the reset button and harmonise our busy minds crucial for our daily functioning. We may struggle to talk to others, express our thoughts and feelings even with people closest to us.

During the event, participants will learn to practice self-reflection, ways to express ourselves, and let go of our inner voices inhibiting us from being our best self. We may learn from each other on the practice of self-care, meet new people and form new social connections. We can write our own stories, be our own author and may choose to share your story to inspire others.

(This event is not suitable for children).
